Cima hospital in Guanacaste

medical_symbolThe CIMA hospital is building a new  medical center in Guanacaste which is expected to be ready in early 2011.

The hospital will be located at the entrance of Pacific Plaza, a commercial complex that will include health and retirement homes for accommodation of tourists doctors (for operations or medical treatments at the Cima).

The new medical center will also have a tower of medical offices and a shopping mall of convenience.

The hospital will be in Canton Carrillo.

For its proximity to the airport in Liberia and the beaches, Carole Veloso, chief executive of Cima, expected to attract primarily foreign tourists, but also to nationals.

Cima recently obtained accreditation from the Joint Commission International, a non-governmental entity of the United States. that equated the services provided by the medical center provided with in that country.

Costa Rica Real Estate news reports that Cima belongs to the International Hospital Corporation (IHC), which has hospitals in Brazil and Mexico.
