Costa Rica leads Latin American Prosperity Index

Globally, the country is positioned in the post 32.
The Prosperity Index assesses 104 nations around the world measuring 44 indicators different economic competitiveness and quality of life.
Measures economic growth, education, health, happiness and quality of life of the inhabitants of a country.
European countries dominate the top ten, with Finland led the number one. By contrast, Zimbabwe is the country in last place.
In Costa Rica, democratic institutions and personal freedom are the variables identified as strong.
The other features, such as innovation, education and health ratings were “average”, none fell into “weak”.
The Institute is a research center within the Legatum group of companies whose mission is to research and promote the principles behind the creation of global prosperity and the expansion of freedom and human welfare.
Legatum is a global private investment firm that focuses on investing in international capital markets and promotes sustainable development.
